Final Project: What You Want To Produce?

Motor Femme is a fresh new idea, it is my own concept. I want Motor Femme to be a company that will go down in music history for being one of the best stores to sell unique and creative items and clothes that you can just identify the brand by the design and style,  I see my company expanding globally and my designs and items belonging to female music fan across the other side of the world. I want to give every music fan the opportunity to buy something that really represents them, and gives them their self identity. The products for Motor Femme will include hand- made band shirt halter tops, jackets, band shirt dresses, customized band heels and other pieces of customized clothing. All of Motor Femme’s items and clothing have a story to tell. They are not just material and fabric stitched together but they are items that are all solely inspired by the divine existence of Music. When you buy a shirt of your favorite band it gives you that security of your own identity. You want your music, that huge aspect of your life to reflect upon you. Music lovers seek the most diverse items to wear, to separate them from everybody else. Motor Femme will never have hundreds of back stocked boxes of the same shirts and items in our store ever. We embrace change; we give our music lovers so much variety for their self-identity. We don’t treat our shoppers as just another sale; we want to establish and keep their friendship, and value their music knowledge and sense of style.

“The communication between a particular clothing brand and the consumer is a special connection. Through some method, the retailer, manufacturer, or designer label reaches out and grabs an individual’s interest.” (Brand Story pg.3)

“The main function of fashion branding is to provide a structure that uses images and language to impart a meaning to retail products…suggests that whereas an advertisers main goal is to sell the products, good advertising requires that marketers to take into account the inherent qualities of the products as well generate a meaning to the consumer.” (Brand Story pg.24)

Final Project: Name And Logo

“Get a catchy domain name. Do something different, original and memorable.” (Brand Story, Pg. 121)

My brands name is Motor Femme meaning strong with power. I got the Motor from my favorite band Motorhead which is loud, heavy, fast, and right to your face. I decided to apply it and add the Femme at the ending. It is short for Femme Fatale which means a beautiful seductive woman who manipulates men into getting what she wants and leaves a trail of broken hearts everywhere she goes.

Final Project: Create What You Would Want Them To Look Like

The Motor Femme brand defines the ultimate music girl fan. My line will carry musical inspired clothing that will reflect their individuality. They will not be repeated clothing there will only be 5 of that item on stock and that is it. Once it run outs it is not produced again (well, in that same way it isn't) I want to make sure that is important because i don't want to see everyone wearing the same thing. I have always been so against duplicating or stealing some one else style. Be unique, do it yourself and be your own person instead of wanting to look like how everybody else looks like. The clothing that I'm producing will be customized band t-shirts from a large variety of genres , i will also have the service of alternating your own shirts for a reasonable price. I will sell purses and handbags as well. The sizes from my clothing will range from x-small all the way to x-large

“Fashion branding can make fashion seem fun, exciting, innovative, and unique; fashion brands need a solid identity to be understood by consumers. Fashion branding shapes and contextualizes a garment or accessory to established its identity” (Brand Story, Pg.5)

"Many women respond to the elements of fun, freedom and edgy expression.” (Brand Story, Pg. 162)

'Limit product. Do not mass-produce anything. Everyone wants what nobody has.” (Brand Story, Pg. 121)

“Fashion branding has been defined as “The cumulative image of a product or service that consumers quickly associate with a particular brand, it offers an overall experience that in unique, different, special and identifiable.” (Brand Story, Pg. 4)

Final Project: Define Your Market And Also Your Identity

"Today, unfortunately we live in a climate of revisiting old trend stories. Some say this is "vintage". I challenge designers to think outside of the box. It has been a long time since we have seen a "new" style (Brand Story, pg 132)

“A good product is even better if it has a strong concept behind it and is made well.” (Brand Story, Foreword, Pg. 17)

The Motor Femme customer is the under dog female who revolves her life around   music.
She is a non conformist, and an original individual. She is that fearless girl that is not afraid to jump into the mosh pits and get punched by sweaty big dudes because she doesn't care. She only cares about the musical enlightenment that goes through her body as she feels the loud amplifier running through her ears and into her mind. These strong females are not the kind of girls that care whether they ruin their shoes or rip a hole through their shorts. These women with attitude range from as young as 14 years old to their mid 20 somethings. They prefer vintage looking clothing, paisley, bohemian, 60's psychedelic, gypsies, strange jewelry, at least one jacket with a back patch, tight clothing, loose boho chic clothing. My customers are individuals that take their identity seriously and embrace their musical taste to form their own unique style. At an affordable price of course.

“To succeed, cultural brands must reflect an appropriate maker and develop a product’s identity.” (Brand story, Pg. 187)
