E.O.C Week 10: Review Exercise

You have been hired by a fashion consultant to help solve an argument between a social morality group and the Ginch Gonch marketing department. The morality group feels that Ginch Gonch should not be allowed to have a billboard of their new advertisement next to a major freeway and 100 yards from a high school. However, the marketing team at Ginch Gonch feels they are within their rights to market their products anywhere they want. Your job is to discuss the pros and cons of each side and make a decision on what should happen.

The Ginch Gonch advertisements can stir up quite a bowl of controversy. Although the Gay & Lesbian community supports this brand full on, I believe that there is a time and a place for everything. Including Ginch Gonch, for example you CAN'T put one of their explicit bill boards off the highway from any school in general. Either way its still a school an education institution where students come to learn. It is not a shopping mall therefore they don't have any right to destroy the education atmosphere of the students with their guy on guy billboards. I have nothing against the gay community, but i wouldn't even want to see a straight people half naked wearing spandex shorts near my school. It would just repulse me every day, thus distracting me from taking in knowledge.

Pros:
Pertains to the Gay Community
Decorative underwear
Controversy
Good/Bad publicity and exposure for the company

Cons:
Almost Naked stereotypical steroid models.
Too much Sexual Content.
Inappropriate.
Not suitable for children to be exposed to.
Gate way for other companies to use images like these to gain controversy.
