B.O.C Week 6: Why Jeans Cost $300

The denim fabric is very strong and durable. It can withstand alot of impact, and can create all sorts of denim jeans. Jeans are worn to work or for any event really. The better quality your jeans the longer you will have them. This attracts jean enthusiast who really love the fit of their jeans and go to extreme measures to making them feel just right, even if that means not washing them.
"Mr. Chiara, who says he wears jeans every day in both work and
social situations, believes that "the less people wash their jeans,
the better their jeans become. Denim really does shape to
people's bodies, and when you wash a jean you lose some of that
shape." (wall street journal)
The True Religion jeans "Phantom" run up to about $375, and Gucci's jeans range from $495 to $665. These premium jeans are made in the United States.
"These expensive jean brands  try to stand out from season to season by using patented materials, such as rivets and stitching, and by using special washes and distressing methods. These might involve dying, pressing, and even using sandpaper and drills on the raw jeans. These methods can be particularly expensive when done in the U.S., where factories must meet more stringent environmental and labor standards than in many low-cost nations."(askandyaboutclothes.com)
